5/1/23: Winston is now boarding at Ross Mill Farm and available for adoption from there. Winston is a crate trained and housebroken inside pig who will use a litterbox (but prefers to potty outside). Winston loves belly rubs and enjoys going outdoors in the spring and summer. He likes to take naps in the sun (but have to watch for sunburn). Like all pigs, he loves to eat. He eats his regular Mazuri pig food and for treats he loves fruits and vegetables. It takes time for Winston to adjust to new people; he can be a bit nippy with strangers. He's not used to being around children or around other animals. But when he's in the yard and dogs are barking on the other side of the fence, Winston doesn't seem to flinch. He just does his own thing. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.)
Winston has been a pretty pampered pig. He lives indoors and love to go outside when the weather is nice (above 60 or so). He's not accustomed to cold temperatures or snow. He loves cozy blankets and loves to root in the grass when weather permits. He knows "sit" and "spin". He is neutered and has been to vet in the last year, but could use a hoof trim.
Transportation is available to the new home.
