6/21/24: Sweet Tilly still needs a loving home!
Some recent photos were added in November '21, the photos with a harness are older. She's been outside a while, but always runs up to the house & the door, so the family really thinks she'd like to be able to be back inside & get more attention. But since she's been an outdoor piggy for so long, her new family might have to work with her a bit on housebreaking again and she'll probably still want plenty of outside time to frolic and graze.
Meet the lovely Tilly! She was originally an indoor pig and was house trained. She has lived outdoors for the last few years so the family is not sure how, or if, she can go back to being an indoor pig. She seems to be pretty happy as an outdoor piggy, and she is the alpha of her herd (four goats and one pig she shares a field and outdoor pen with). She is aggressive when it comes to meal time and wants whatever is available, so she should be fed separately from any other animals (goats, pigs, chickens, dogs, doesn't matter to her!). Tilly loves attention and to be petted. There are cats and dogs in the home, but she doesn't have much direct interaction with them. A home with either her own space that dogs can't get into or no dogs is best, due to her dominance over other animals. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.)
She has lived with children ranging in age from 9 to 19 and been fine with older children. The family doesn't think she'd be great with little kids. Tilly is spayed, up to date on shots & vet care, and she's harness trained. Her family can help transport her to her new home within about 100 miles or so.
