Meet Tiller! He showed up roaming around the property about a year ago and is in need of a permanent home. He is a lovely boy who loves belly rubs and behind the ear scratches. He enjoys moving toys around the yard, but needs someone who can give him proper living conditions and care. This sweet boy would love to find a forever home, and (once neutered) would be a great candidate for someone in need of a buddy for their pig.
Tiller has done well around kids 10 & up. He's also been good around cats.
Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.
Tiller is not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
