8/16/24 Still available!!! (And still adorable!) Introducing the three little stooges: Larry, Moe & Curly!
Three unaltered male piglets were dumped 5 years ago and have been living on this property ever since. Despite being dumped like garbage, they have become lovely little guys who learned to trust humans again. The person caring for them doesn't own the property and they really need a larger space to be able to graze and have room to roam. They answer to "Piggy" and are a lovely group, available as a trio, or a single & a duo.
The larger & medium sized pigs are currently separated from the little one, as they can sometimes pick on him. Usually they are fine when being pet one on one, but sometimes they get fresh when it's feeding time. A separate feeding area would eliminate any quabbling and enable them to be together if someone wishes to adopt all three.
They have never encountered children, but they were raised on a farm so they are used to all kinds of animals. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.)
Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.
These boys are not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. Their caretaker is willing to help with alter costs.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
