10/17/24 Update: The baby boys have been separated into their own pen to help prevent further unwanted litters!
This listing is for the piglets of Stormy & Maple. Stormy's litter was only born weeks ago (9/3/24), and Maple's litter is about 3 months old now (born 7/4/24 - Independence Day Babies!).
Stormy and her sister Maple were dropped off a few months back, and unfortunately, both were pregnant and had litters. Stormy just had 5 babies two weeks ago, while Maple's 4 piglets were born about three months ago. All of them need homes! The family already had an unaltered male as a pet themselves, and he breaks out of his pen every time one of the females is in heat. It's urgent that these pigs are rehomed before further unwanted litters are born!
All these piglets currently live outside, but since they are all young and adaptable, they can easily transition to be inside piggies, too.
Transportation is available within 2 hours to the new home.
None of these piglets are altered so arrangements must be made to spay and/or neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
