Spam in Fishers, IN
Spam

Spam is a spayed larger breed farm piggy in need of a new home. Her similarly sized buddy Freeway passed a few months ago, and while she is still around some smaller pigs and other animals, we'd really love to find her a permanent home where she has a similarly sized pig friend! The sanctuary where she lives is trying to downsize due to age and health of the person running it, so getting another large breed pig isn't an option. Homes without other large breed pigs will also be considered, but PPN does recommend outdoor pigs have a buddy.

Spam is a funny girl with a great sense of humor. Her favorite activities include playing in the mud (obviously) and snacking on fruit, especially watermelon! She likes to show off and will smile at you. She enjoys belly rubs and ear scratches. She's a vocal and chatty gal who will keep you smiling! Many years ago, she fell off a pig production truck enroute to a very short future. A golfer found her on the golf course sheltering under a bush and called the sanctuary, who agreed to take her in temporarily.

As for whether she gets along with other animals like dogs, for such a big girl, she is seemingly scared of her own shadow. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) A home where dogs don't have access to her area might be best to avoid spooking Spam.
