Socks in Turnersville, TX
Socks

Socks is a gentle outside piggy who came with the house when it was purchased 2 years ago. The new property owners were given no information on her and have been unable to find anyone to trim hooves. She lives is in a fenced area but is let out daily to walk around with supervision. She will come to you for treats. She's been good with kids ages 9, 11, and 16. She's been fine with other animals, as well. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.)

Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.

It is unknown if this pig is altered so arrangements must be made to spay prior to adoption if she is not already. Your vet may require her to diet before she can safely be spayed. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/

Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.

Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
