Sandy, Danny, Rizzo, Frankie, and Danny Dee in Dover, PA
Sandy, Danny, Rizzo, Frankie, and Danny Dee

Sandy, Danny, Rizzo, Frankie, and Danny Dee are a small family unit in need of a home. It is preferred to keep everyone together. Sandy and Big Danny are the parents. Frankie & Danny Dee are the sons, and Rizzo is the daughter. The parents came to the family with a surprise pregnancy. They all do very well with other animals and live on a farm with dogs, cats, horses, & donkeys. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) The mother Sandy and her offspring Danny Dee are exceptionally friendly, have been inside house pigs, and were housebroken. Sandy and Danny Dee can sit, roll over and play dead. The other three have always been outside pigs. Two (Frankie & Rizzo) are reluctant to be petted and Danny (male father pig) is friendly but shy.

Big Danny (large spotted pig, neutered male, father to offspring, tame but shy)
Sandy (medium black pig, spayed female, mother to offspring, extremely tame and sweet)
Danny Dee (very small spotted pig, neutered son, delightfully sweet and friendly)
Rizzo (black medium female, unspayed daughter, nice but standoffish)
Frankie (black medium male, neutered son, nice but standoffish)

There is a very large custom made shed (approx 8 ft x 8 ft x 5ft tall) that can come with them, as well as some cattle panel fencing and three extra large igloos (photo included).

Transportation may not be available, so it is preferred if the adopter can make arrangements.

All pigs except the one daughter (Rizzo) are altered. Arrangements should be made to spay Rizzo prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/

Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.

Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
