Prince & Royal are two pigs who were recently dumped and abandoned. They appear to be unaltered young males. Both seem sweet and friendly, although they are shy. Both have done well with all ages of kids they've met, as well as with other animals. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.)
They will need a vet to check them out: one has red stuff in his eyes and one has something stuck on his foot.
Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.
These pigs are not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
