6/21/24 Still available! Best adopted as a group, or in same-sex pairs. Current photos added, and they all had their hooves trimmed in April.
Prescott, Presley, Piper, & Poppy are four pigs who were part of an emergency rescue. They are being housed in a temporary location that is muddy and has potential access issues in winter. The original rescuer is not zoned for pigs and is urgently looking for a permanent home. They have been around children ages 4 - 18 yrs. The pigs have always been housed separately from other animals, but have been around dogs, cats, goats, & ducks with no issues. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.)
Prescott - pink, Presley - black with white, Piper - black with white spots, Poppy - black with white
Prescott is a little bit shy and a little bit feisty, but loves behind his ears scratched. Prescott also LOVES the mud and would be happiest at a home with a good mud hole.
Presley loves attention. He will follow you everywhere, flop over for belly rubs, is a lap dog if you sit down, and gives the saddest eyes when you have to leave. He is patient with kids and would love a home where he gets lots of attention.
Poppy is very sweet, but can be sassy. She basically loves attention until she decides she's had enough, then she wants to do her own thing. Poppy loves the mud, but especially enjoys relaxing in a kiddie pool.
Piper is black with pink spots and loves to get pets and loves to play. She will root around in your pockets if you are hiding snacks and won’t stop until she finds it. Piper has walked on a leash / harness and is very motivated and curious to learn. She has been living outside, but we think could also quickly adapt to being an indoor pig.
Transportation is available within 300 miles to the new home.
The males are neutered; the females are not yet spayed, but there is financial assistance available for spaying. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor.
