Meet Porky! This cutie is an unaltered outside piggy in need of a new home. His mom moved out & left him behind. He does well with kids, dogs, cats, etc. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) Porky is a nice boy, but he takes his meals seriously and gets ornery if not fed in a timely manner.
Transportation is available locally within 20 miles to the new home.
Porky is not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
