Pig in Chester, PA
Pig

This pig was found in a park on Thanksgiving morning. The family that found him is unable to keep him, as they are not allowed to have a pig. He is good with kids and other animals. He lives with 2 dogs and 6 cats now. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) He's not housebroken, so will need some training with his new family. He's not a fan of being picked up, like most pigs.

Transportation is likely not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.

This pig is not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/

Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.

Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
