PUMBA in Kearns, UT
PUMBA

6/20/23: Still in need of a home! Pumba is being rehomed and his mom is heartbroken. She would like to be able to continue to see him and visit him in his new home.

He's housebroken & goes outside to potty. He knows stay, lay down, & spin. He's neutered & up to date on shots, but needs a hoof trim. He hates bell peppers, cabbage, & radishes. He loves peanut butter, fruit and vegetables. He enjoys spending the day outside when it's nice out. He definitely needs a strong / dominant personality, so he'll need a family that can reinforce that the humans are top hog. He has had issues with going after people's feet that aren't his mom (who is the top hog in the home). He needs a diet, as well.

He's not good with children, and does ok with some other animals - being an only animal or with other pigs is preferred, but the new home should be able to keep him safely separated from other animals if they do not get along. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) He did well with a small dog & three cats that he was raised with - but Pumba is doing terribly with another small dog that is newer to the home. A dog free home would be preferred. A home looking for a second pig would be a dream come true.

Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements. His mom will send him to his new home with food, snacks, etc.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/

Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
