Ms Piggie is a sweetheart who loves to get tummy rubs. If you scratch her side, she will lay down and roll until you rub her belly, then go to sleep. She also likes dog beds and playing with dog toys. She's crate trained, housebroken, and good with kids of all ages. She's friendly with dogs, cats, and chickens. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) She sleeps on the dog bed in the living room at night, and goes to the door and paws to get out when she needs to potty.
Ms Piggie's prior family lived in the city & wasn't allowed to keep her. The current home doesn't have the appropriate environment to keep her & their other animals safe, so she is going through the wire of the chicken pen daily and letting them loose. Proper piggy fencing will be needed for her new home. We suggest hog panel & T-posts as an inexpensive pen/fence option.
Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.
Ms Piggie is not altered so arrangements must be made to spay prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
