Lily is a docile girl, other than when in heat. She loves fruit and doesn’t like broccoli. She can walk on a leash with a harness, however it’s a struggle to get the harness on at first. She is a sweet girl and will sometimes follow you around the yard and want to be close to you. She loves to dig and sunbathe during the summer. She enjoys tummy rubs and pats. She sleeps in a big dog bed and loves to nest. She also enjoys a nice ear scratch.
She does not have significant experience with children, but is good with both dogs and cats. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) She is housebroken and goes outside to potty. She also travels well in cars.
Lily is being rehomed because she is not spayed and she becomes incredibly destructive during her heat cycles (due to nesting). She will pee in the house only during this time. Her mom is in college and not able to take her, and family is currently caring for Lily and they are unable to continue doing so.
Transportation is available within 500 miles to the new home.
Lily is not altered so arrangements must be made to spay. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors.
