6/17/24 Still available! Adorable new photo of Lechon sharing a pumpkin with his tortoise friend added. They sleep together and snuggle up against each other.
Lechon is an outdoor piggy in need of a home where he'll receive more attention. He's good with older children who are attentive. He is tame, but his family says don't feed him by hand in case he accidentally nibbles fingers. Speaking of, bare toes might get checked out, too, so keep little one's digits covered up. Lechon lives with a dog and is fine with him, as he mostly just ignores him. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) He enjoys belly rubs.
Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements. The last time he traveled was years ago and he was lured into a crate with food. His crate will come with him if the adopters would like it.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
