5/28/24: The piglets were all rehomed and only the mama pig Kahluah is left and still looking for a home. Photos on listing are from 2023, shortly after she had her babies. Her personality is very sweet, she gets along well with all kind of animals: other pigs, dogs, chickens, and ducks is what she is used to being around. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) She is house trained and will use the litter box, but she stays outside.
Tiny was born February 11, 2023 and his family hasn't been able to find a home for him. He's good with kids of all ages, as well as dogs and chickens. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) There are three babies available: 2 females (Snow & Missy) and one male (Tiny). The mom (Kaluah) is also available, but placing Tiny, the unaltered male piglet, is priority at the moment. The dad was already rehomed before the mom gave birth and they hadn't realized she was pregnant.
Transportation may available locally to the new home. An adopter who can pick him up & bring him to his new home is preferred.
Kaluah is not altered so arrangements must be made to spay or neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
