Honey in Calhan, CO
Honey

Honey and his mom Maple are in need of a loving home!

Maple was a stray that showed up on the property 7 months ago. The family was surprised to learn she was pregnant when she arrived and Maple had one surviving piglet on December 5, 2023, her son Honey. Both Maple & Honey have been altered and are ready for their forever home.

Maple was wild when she arrived and has become friendly. She isn't cuddly by any means, but she is nice. She loves to be hand fed. Maple was attacked at some point in the past, so she only has 1 ear. Honey was the only piglet of 4 that made it, and he seems to know what a little miracle he is! He loves scratches and attention and is just a lovely little boy. He sits on command, and the family has been working on spins but it's slow. Maple also knows sit.

Both pigs are good with the barn cats, but don't have any experience around dogs or small children. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) They are spayed/neutered, and up to date on shots & routine vet care. They are crate trained & ride well in cars. Honey has been harness trained.

Transportation is available (within reason) to the new home.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
