12/8/23: Hawk and Hammy are still looking for a new home. They need to find a home before the end of next summer, as their mom is being deployed.
Hawk and Hamilton (aka Hammy) are two adorable outside pigs in need of a new home before their caregiver leaves for military duty. Hammy is like a sassy toddler that likes to test boundaries, but he's lovable once he gets a feel for you. He definitely needs a family who is able to provide discipline, training, and consistency. Hawk is very chill and absolutely loves belly rubs. He is just a huge sweetheart. Both are very intelligent animals, but it is night and day with their personalities. They were neutered in April of 2022. Both boys knows their names.
The boys were good with kids previously, but Hammy has started to test boundaries with them on occasion. Hammy has no issue with the 13 y/o, so older kids/teens shouldn't be an issue, but younger kids might not be the best combination. They've also been raised around ducks and chickens. Transportation is not available, so the adopters will need to make arrangements to bring them to their new home.
They are on a diet. The family had to move the boys and build a fence because neighbors were feeding the pigs. Hawk & Hammy are doing well on the diet and have started showing progress.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
