5/18/23: Still available! Fred is a very shy and fluffy boy. He likes his pig siblings, but doesn't like when humans come near (unless you’re feeding him), and since he lives on an educational farm, it's not an ideal environment for this shy boy. A calm home with other pigs would be a dream come true for this bashful boy.
He has been raised with 4 farm dogs and a barn cat. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.)
Transportation is available within 100 miles to the new home.
Fred is not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
