1/7/23 Still available! Elvis likes to cuddle on his own terms. He is all about Elvis. He is good with cats and most dogs. He doesn't get along with one dog in the home. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) Elvis is not neutered and has been humping everything, so he'll need to be neutered ASAP. He's more of a ladies man and doesn't really like men. If he doesn't want to go outside, he'll definitely let you know!
Elvis is crate trained and has been fine traveling in cars. He has been escaping his outside pen recently, so a sturdy piggy-proof fence is needed to keep him contained until his hormones are under control. Transportation is available to his new home, within reasonable distances.
Elvis is not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
