Digory Rutherford in Jamison, PA
Digory Rutherford

Digory is one of four pigs from the Rutherford Rescue living together in an outside pen at Ross Mill Farm. He is the only male left from this rescue. He's one of the smaller pigs in this group, along with Raelyn - Ruth and Remi are the larger two in this group. When approaching their pen, Digory is one of the first to run over to say hello and check to see if you have anything tasty for him. If you look like you're going to give him some fresh grass, he'll smoosh his adorable face as far as he can against & under the fence to try to be first to get to it! This sweet boy is energetic and spunky and enjoys exploring.

Background on the rescue: The Rutherford Rescue Pigs were rescued from a hoarding situation in North Carolina. Blind Spot Animal Sanctuary reached out to many pig organizations for help with the overwhelming number of pigs in need of rescue. PPN's foster facility at Ross Mill Farm took in 12 pigs on 9/5/20, all of them young, many of them piglets. These piggies were quarantined and the couple baby boys are separated from the girls, but still near each other. They are curious and sweet, despite what they have been through so far in life. Some even were rolling over for belly rubs shortly after arriving! Many of them arrived underweight and in need of vet care, but they are healthy and happy pigs now!
