Meet Cookie! Just as sweet as her namesake, this cutie-pie is good with kids ages 5 to 9 and gets along very well with most animals. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) Cookie loves to listen to true crime and BBC. She is perky, curious, and loves water baths and sun bathing. She is housebroken & harness trained.
Cookie was taken in a few years ago when her original human had to move abroad. The friend who took her in has been trying to find her a home without luck since. Unfortunately, they recently found out that they aren't supposed to have pigs in their town.
Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.
Cookie is not altered so arrangements must be made to spay prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
