*3/28/24: Still in need of a home!* His disabled veteran dad is having a tough time caring for him. Neighbor has said he'll shoot Chippy if he escapes again.

Introducing Chippy from Eagleswood, NJ! He was given to his dad about 2.5 years ago & was told he's a "miniature potbelly". But he's gotten quite big and it looks like he's a larger breed pig. His dad is unable to keep up with a big boy like him because he keeps breaking out of his pen. Since he lives near a major road and doesn't have the ability to reinforce the fence, Chippy is looking for a new home to keep him safe & happy. Chippy requires a good fence (hog panel should work great) and will need to be neutered. If you're looking for a big sweet piggy, Chippy should be at the top of your list!

He's listens to his owner, and when he escapes, he will walk home when told. He enjoys playing with goats and plays with balls. He does well with kids, although this has been with supervision since he's not neutered yet.

His dad may be able to help transport him to his new home, to be discussed with qualified adopters. He is currently an outside piggy living in a pen, but he was housebroken previously & even used a litterbox.

Chippy is not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. There is no adoption fee in lieu of spay/neuter costs.

Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
