Charlie girl in Blairstown, NJ
Charlie girl

8/2/24 Still available! Charlie Girl is the sweetest piggy. She just loves to be around people. She does push with her nose and root, so you may have to tell her no. She loves to be sung to and she loves to talk. She is very clean and doesn't like to get muddy. She likes a clean kiddy pool and a couch or bed. She is getting older and her parents think she may have arthritis. She walks and runs fine, but sometimes she has a hard time getting up. She's a slightly larger breed called American Guinea Hog and the family thinks she weighs between 250 and 300lbs.

Charlie girl is good with older kids- she may root on younger ones who don't know how to tell her no or redirect her and accidentally hurt them - snouts are surprisingly strong! She has been around dogs and cats her whole life. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) Charlie Girl is housebroken and goes outside to potty.

Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.

Charlie Girl is not altered so you should speak with your vet about spaying and if it's a safe option for her given her age and weight. If she cannot safely be spayed, you should determine if an unspayed pig is the right fit for you and keep her away from any intact males. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors.
