Buttercup is a house pig who gets yard time. She is good with kids ages 3+ as well as with other animals. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) She is housebroken, enjoys belly rubs, and sleeps most of the time. Her mom recently passed and she's in need of a new home.
Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.
Buttercup is not altered so arrangements must be made to spay prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors. She may need to be dieted before she can be spayed, which your vet can discuss with you. PPN is also available for diet advice.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
