3/4/24: Buddha is the only one of the trio still in need of a home! Chakra & Krishna were adopted last week.
Meet three rescues who arrived at Ross Mill Farm in the Fall of 2022: Krishna (girl), Buddha (boy), and Chakra (boy). They were found by Specialty K9 Search and Recovery group while doing some training exercises in the woods. Then Buddha Dog Rescue & Recovery were able to catch these three little pigs, and the West Milford Animal Shelter Society provided temporary shelter and then transported them to Ross Mill Farm. What a group effort!
They are currently living in the nursery and being socialized. They were skittish when they first arrived, and have really come a long way in just a couple weeks!
They have been spayed & neutered. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
