7/27/21 Update: Beau has improved by leaps & bounds! He's a fantastic piggy who started off with "BITES! BITES! BITES!" written across his pen to warn people not to get too close. We started talking softly to him, telling him he was a good boy & giving him scratches with a back scratcher. Then we started being able to give him scratches behind his ears! Day by day, Beau's true personality started to shine through a little more. We let him out to walk in the lodge and the property once he settled down a bit. And now? Oh boy! Now Beau comes up to say hello and get belly scratches from whoever he happens to cross paths with. He's really opened up and is just a sweet, sweet boy again. He just needed to feel that he was loved and appreciated again to regain his trust in people.

Meet Beau Diggity! This handsome guy was born 12/7/12. He is neutered and lives in the lodge. While Beau's manners have improved greatly, he still has food aggression and is territorial. When he is outside his pen, he is a very sweet and curious boy. He will continue to need special attention and care to improve his trust with humans again, but we are so happy for his progress and trust in us. He has gained a decent amount of weight as well!
