Baxter is in desperate need or a home quickly. His mom isn't able to care for him due to health issues & hospitalization.
Baxter is a sweetie who does well with kids, cats, and dogs. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) He seems very smart, likes men and children a lot, and is very sweet and affectionate. Baxter is not potty trained but he does tend to go potty in the same spots he favors. He does like going outdoors, but has been primarily indoors. His mom was scared to let him out much after he got dippity when younger. More regular outside/yard time to establish a potty schedule with help with the training.
Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.
Baxter is not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter him. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
