Bandit, aka Big Pig, is a handsome and friendly unaltered piggy in need of a new home with more space for him. He loves attention. He's good around kids and has never had any issues with aggression. However, he is a big boy and he likes to lean against your leg to use you as a scratching post. His dad is the only one that can bear his weight. He loves his brushings. He does not like baths/showers, but he enjoys the "mist" setting on hose. He likes pumpkins, he plays with them until they bust and then he'll eat them. There is a stray dog in the neighborhood that comes to the yard often and Bandit ignores it. He has never been around any animals other than the stray. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.)
Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.
Bandit is not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
