Annabelle is a lovely outside piggy in need of a new home. She is very sweet, lays on blanket and lets her family rub her belly while she snores. She loves treats and does tricks: Does twirly twirl, raises hoof like dog does a paw, backs up, goes through hoop, stands on step, looks for treats under balls, and she learns quickly. Annabelle is good with kids; toddlers and up have given her treats. She tolerates the dog, but they're separated and not inside her pen. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.)
Vet Info: She just needs vaccines because the vets in the area no longer do farm calls for pigs. She also has a little cyst or growth near the vulva area, and needs a better hoof trimming. Her mom is currently working on them when she can, and was just given some more vet & farrier options to see if she can have this all taken care of before adoption.
Transportation may be available to the new home. Her little piggy house is available if the adopter would like it, too. It opens up from the back for easy cleaning, too!
Annabelle is not altered so arrangements must be made to spay prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
